About the Course

The Proactive Physical Response Training (PPRT) course is designed to allow learners to enhance their knowledge and skill set while working in the security industry. At the moment the SIA regulates the security industry and here at Sentry Consulting we felt that there were some elements of training and knowledge that were missing from this mandatory training so we developed the PPRT course to allow its learner to gain a better understanding of the role of a security professional, address common challenges, develop effective strategies, and acquire the skills needed to excel in the security industry. This course is designed to empower you with the knowledge and tools required to ensure the safety of individuals and organisations. Key objectives are as follow: 1. Understand the Private Security Industry 2. Understand the role of the SIA 3. Recognise Professional Responsibility and Accountability 4. Understand professional Standards in Security Work 5. Equality, Diversity and Respect The course content can be seen in the full curriculum below broken down into 7 subjects with quizzes for each topic. Each quiz allows for one wrong answer which is an 80% pass rate for the quizzes with 5 questions and a 90% pass rate for the quizzes with 10 questions. The final quiz is 40 questions and requires a 90% pass rate. These chapters cover: 1. Introduction to Effective Security Training 2. Behavioural Awareness and Pre-incident Indicators 3.
